“Hidden Consumption” is a photo series created by our intern Nicole Nishizawa, #Harvard College ’19, as part of the Visual and Environmental Studies 42A: Introduction to Still Photography class.

The photo series explores #consumerism and interactions with #water. Common water uses like showering, walking along the Charles River, and drinking water are juxtaposed against more hidden water consumers such as denim, leather and cotton production, energy cooling, and agriculture and livestock. Through this photo project, Nicole hopes to raise awareness of these hidden water consumers that most of us use and interact with in our daily lives. 💧💦📸👏
